Laura Ashenford

Laura was born in West Sussex and attended West Sussex College of Art and Design where she studied product design.

​She worked as a designer for an advertising company for a while before becoming an interior designer in 1986. Here she worked on a variety of projects including Schools, Museums, Art Galleries, Theatres, Sports  facilities, Crematoria, Playgrounds and even Private properties.

 

Recently Laura has rediscovered drawing and painting in watercolours. As well as this she creates jewellery, craft using different materials and also upcycling objects that would normally have been thrown away.

 

Laura enjoys creative writing and the places you can go using your imagination! Included here are a selection from her short story fiction writing which tend towards the fantasy; although best described as eclectic.

 

Laura now has achieved her teaching qualification and is looking forward to helping other people enjoy art and the thrill of achieving their own pieces of art work.

 

She is currently working towards being a counsellor; having completed her level 2  and now embarking on level 3.
